Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Experienced Data Center Technician for Ashburn, VA to support installation, maintenance and decommissioning of data center infrastructure. The role requires reading blueprints, terminating cables, and ensuring safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with operations and project teams, manage documentation, and maintain orderly records while working on-site at secure data center facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation and decommissioning in Data Center environments.
• Ability to read floor plans and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Capable of performing field terminations and labeling.
• Proficient with low voltage cabling and proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install/decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center.
• Deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions with a focus on improvement.
• Provide feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and adhere to safety standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and build documentation; manage splices and labeling.
