Job summary

CBRE is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to install and decommission network cabling in a fast-paced data center environment. You will deliver repeatable, high‑quality solutions while maintaining strict safety and cleanliness standards.

You will read blueprints, understand wiring schemes, and work with various technicians and stakeholders to remove obstacles and ensure project progress. The role requires knowledge of low voltage cabling and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic telecom hand tools and their safe use.
• Customer service mindset and responsiveness to stakeholders.
• Clear understanding of job safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Familiarity with wiring schemes and ability to test wiring.
• Ability to read/understand blueprints and site drawings.
• Ability to receive daily directions from technicians and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Install/decommission network and cabling in a Data Center environment.
• Deliver repeatable, quality solutions with a focus on improvement.
• Provide updates on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and workmanship quality.
• Follow safety standards, codes and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read port maps, matrices, floor plans and drawings.
• Understand Data Center infrastructure technologies.
