Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services function, responsible for technical maintenance in client environments.

You'll assist with inspections, respond to BMS alarms, coordinate with vendors, and complete planned PM and reactive maintenance. The job emphasizes following procedures, quality checks, and safety standards within CBRE's framework.

Qualifications

• Technical apprenticeship or equivalent with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Able to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must meet the physical requirements for the role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure environmental conditions support a safe work environment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with procedures and laws.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet requirements.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
