Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a Data Center operation. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services function and involves a day shift with a rotating 12-hour schedule.

Responsibilities include inspections, responding to alarms, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining safety and quality standards across all equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent and 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to present information clearly to internal teams and clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and a curious mindset.
• Basic math skills including percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment in a Data Center environment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors and ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance per established schedules and safety standards.
• Record inspections, readings from UPS and PDU meters, and maintain comprehensive maintenance logs.
