Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs inside a data center environment. The role sits within the Critical and Technical Services group, focused on maintaining reliable and safe critical facilities.

You'll conduct inspections, respond to BMS alarms, and coordinate with vendors. The position requires technical training and 1–2 years of related experience, with rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to present information clearly to internal teams and clients.
• Ability to follow standard work routines and apply procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on data center mechanical and electrical systems.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors while ensuring compliance with processes and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, read meters (UPS, PDU, utilities) and document results.
• Complete planned PM and reactive maintenance following established procedures.
• Maintain safety and environmental conditions to ensure a safe workplace.
• Record quality checks and maintain comprehensive maintenance logs.
