Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Data Center Technician to support high-security data center services, cabling, and decommissioning of equipment. You will work on-site at client locations, following strict procedures and safety requirements while ensuring seamless operations of hardware networks.

The role requires flexibility for varying shifts, weekends, and travel as needed, with a focus on delivering top-tier customer service and adherence to client specifications.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license and ability to travel for client sites.
• Basic experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and email.
• Prior experience in data center, logistics or construction environments preferred.
• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with common networking terms and cabling best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at clients’ sites on time with required equipment, PPE, and documentation.
• Cable server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables.
• Provide industry-leading customer service by acting professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Follow client procedures including health & safety and security.
• Communicate with colleagues, managers and supervisors with regular reports on arrivals, delays, safety concerns, and completion times.
• Complete daily checklists and provide reports on daily activities and tasks.
