Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Data Center Installer to support our data center services. You will install server racks, cable fiber and copper, and help build customer cloud infrastructure inside client data centers.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to travel, and capable of using hand and power tools while following strict safety procedures. We offer benefits and a path to grow within a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift to 60-80 pounds.
• Ability to assist in transporting server racks (1,600-1,700 lbs) on wheels with a rack tug.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Valid class driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to travel for business needs.
• Basic experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and email.
• Prior experience with installation of structured cabling, including fiber and copper.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at clients’ sites on time with required equipment, uniform, procedures and PPE.
• Unload and unpack with power tools and position IT hardware (server racks).
• Cable server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables.
• Provide industry-leading customer service by acting professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Follow clients’ procedures including health, safety and security.
• Communicate with colleagues and supervisors with timely reports on arrivals, delays, safety concerns and completion times.
• Complete daily checklists and reports on daily activities and tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
