Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Hamlet, NC is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting to keep AWS services available.

You will participate in on-call rotation, handle documentation, and support 24/7 operations across multiple data centers, with travel between sites as needed; the role requires bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, responding to operational incidents that impact service availability
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders
• Performing on-call duties and participating in maintenance and change management activities
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives
