Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Technician to support 24/7 data center operations in Texas.

You will install equipment, perform hardware break-fix, troubleshoot networking, and help maintain server racks while coordinating with engineers, software teams, vendors, and contractors. This role requires travel between sites, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Helping to train and onboard new team members.
