Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Technician to join our expanding team in Ohio. You’ll help ensure data center availability and reliability by performing in-depth hardware and network diagnostics and executing timely repairs.

This role requires shift work including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in industrial environments. You’ll be part of a diverse, inclusive culture that values learning, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience using a ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical issues from customers and coordinate with other teams to drive resolution.
• Troubleshoot hardware and network diagnostics and perform repairs.
• Sustain service levels and participate in on-call rotation.
• Work shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays to support 24/7 operations.
