Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Ohio (Hilliard) is seeking a Data Center Technician to support our 24/7 data center operations. The role involves server rack installations, hardware repair, and rapid incident response to ensure high availability of AWS services.

You will collaborate with engineers, vendors, and other teams, work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and participate in on-call rotations. A high school diploma and hardware troubleshooting experience are required.

Qualifications

1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshoot or related IT experience.
Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
High School or equivalent diploma.

Responsibilities

Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability.
Serving as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues.
Helping to train and onboard new team members.
