Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join our Data Center Facility team in Ohio. You will maintain and operate critical data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and safety systems, ensuring 24/7 reliability and security.

You will work with diverse teams to test, implement, and improve technology and work practices while adhering to safety and change-management procedures across multiple sites in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment in data centers.
• Ability to perform PM and troubleshoot root causes.
• Willingness to work shifts up to 12 hours and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Produce technical writing to support change management.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices and local regulation.
• Role may rotate across multiple locations/sites.
