TEKsystems is seeking experienced datacenter technicians for a contract role based in Lenoir, NC. The team will travel nationwide (75%) to support Google's Hi-Fiber project, establishing processes for the first 6–8 weeks at new locations and then transitioning to long-term staff in home markets.

On-site work will occur in Lenoir, NC when not on travel, with strong emphasis on troubleshooting and cable replacement experience.

About the Role

putting together a Tiger team of L2 datacenter technicians to support the "Hi-Fiber" project for their customer Google. The Hi-Fiber project is the Google's initiative to replace their older Coax cable with fiber. NTT wants to put together a team of experienced technicians to be the first at a new Google location to set up the processes and procedures for the first 6-8 weeks of these projects. This team will travel in to get these projects going the right direction and then move on to another Google location and to the same thing. When there are down times between projects they will be working at the Google Datacenter on site in their home markets. They want to bring in experienced datacenter technicians who can step in and handle this work from day one. Eventually they will hire level 1 cable pullers to step in and complete the projects for the long haul. These Datacenter Technicians also need to have troubleshooting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Candidates need to be flexible and good with the travel requirements. Probably on the road for 2 weeks at most before being brought home. NTT will handle all travel arrangements. Any out of pocket costs will be expensed to NTT. I need to get clarification about Meals Allowance while on the road. Candidates must have a valid Drivers License, the ability to travel in an Airplane and or vehicle. No Travel Restrictions.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
