Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Technical Operations Trainer to develop, manage, and deliver comprehensive training for regional data center facilities. You will blend hands-on instruction with program management to ensure operations staff are trained, competent, and compliant, enabling safe and efficient data center operations.

The role involves onboarding, content development, and learning program enhancements, with travel up to 25% to support regional training activities and onboarding programs.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in Technology Operations or related technical environment.
• One year of training, coaching, onboarding, or facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience using LMS, Workday Learning, Articulate or similar tools is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Education, Business Operations, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate instructor‑led, virtual, and hands‑on training programs for onboarding and development.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to learners.
• Support new hire onboarding with classroom instruction and hands‑on activities.
• Create engaging learning environments that encourage participation and retention.
• Develop and improve training materials, job aids, and learning resources with SMEs and managers.
• Translate technical concepts into learner‑friendly content for varied skill levels.
• Maintain learning content in LMS platforms and collaboration tools.
• Identify learning gaps and recommend supplemental training resources.
• Partner with leaders to align training with procedures and business needs.
• Maintain training records, attendance, completion, and certification status.
• Schedule training sessions and coordinate logistics to learners and leaders.
• Support audits and document reviews by keeping records current.
• Collect learner feedback and measure training effectiveness.
• Recommend updates to onboarding processes and materials.
