Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Regional Training Engineer to deliver hands-on training programs across a region, translating curriculum into consistent, high-quality field delivery at each site. You will work on data center floors and in classrooms with technicians, building the program from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in critical facilities, data center operations, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience delivering technical training, mentoring, or on-the-job coaching in an operational environment.
• Working knowledge of critical facility electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, BMS/EPMS).
• Comfortable delivering both classroom and hands-on, floor-based training.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills; ability to train technicians across varying experience levels.
• Highly organized, with the discipline to keep certification and compliance records accurate and audit-ready.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% of the time within the region.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training across all sites in the region following Director-approved curriculum and standards.
• Execute onboarding and procedural training tied to each site's library.
• Coordinate training schedules with Site Directors, Critical Facility Managers, and Chief Engineers to minimize disruption.
• Pilot new curriculum, provide field feedback, and adapt materials to site equipment while maintaining standardization.
• Administer certification checkpoints and maintain audit-ready training records in the LMS for every site.
• Own site-level compliance currency (CPR, First Aid, NFPA 70E) and coordinate with local teams on audits.
