Job summary

IES is seeking a Technician II to support both physical and virtual infrastructure within data centers. You will drive industry best practices, maintain documentation, and ensure security and compliance across sites.

Responsibilities include performing MACs, hardware installation, asset management and on-site safe operations. The role requires strong server/network knowledge and ability to work at heights, with on-call duties possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working in data centers, operations or related technical field.
• General knowledge of server/network equipment and software support configurations.
• Intermediate understanding of AC/DC power principles, data center power distribution and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support MACs and hardware installations including labeling, power, and network connections.
• Perform hardware support and cabling MACs, troubleshooting and break-fix.
• Document daily work logs, asset management and site safety procedures.
• Provide smart-hands assistance across multiple sites within SLA.
• Maintain data center security and proper recording of media storage devices.
