CBRE, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Team Leader to supervise engineering staff, ensure critical infrastructure uptime, and manage complex vendor networks.

The role focuses on leading teams to protect clients' digital assets and maintain high operational standards. Responsibilities include overseeing performance, implementing preventive maintenance, inspecting building systems, and coordinating repairs and materials.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on data center experience with critical infrastructure, cooling, power and uptime.
• Ability to lead engineering teams and manage vendor networks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staff. Ensure that work is complete, equipment is fully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.
• Review monthly service request summaries to identify and address recurrent operational problems.
• Formulate and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
• Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
• Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies and tools and order necessary materials.
• Assist team with complex repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
• Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
• Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view. Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams.
• Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
