Job summary

CBRE, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technical Team Lead to oversee a large data center operation. You will coordinate daily team activities, mentor staff, and implement preventive maintenance improvements while ensuring safety and reliability of critical building systems.

You will interact with tenants, clients, owners, facilities teams, and vendors, leading by example and aligning with CBRE RISE values. The role may require weekend/holiday shifts and may require licensure depending on location.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Journeyman/Electrician or HVAC license preferred and local licensure where required.
• Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must meet physical requirements.
• MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily team activities and schedules.
• Mentor and coach staff; cross-train and track deadlines.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs; maintain manuals.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants, and technicians.
• Oversee building systems: fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, facilities, and vendors.
• Lead by example; apply CBRE RISE values.
• Diagnose and resolve day-to-day or moderately complex issues.
