Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead the on-site engineering team responsible for preventative maintenance, operations, and rapid repairs in mission-critical environments.

You will ensure uptime by enforcing strict MSAs and SLAs, manage client relationships, and coordinate with stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, deep data center infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to guide technical staff through complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience managing critical infrastructure.
• Proven understanding of data center infrastructure, including HVAC/cooling, electrical distribution, backup generators, and UPS systems.
• Experience in staffing, team selection, training, performance mentoring, and retention.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, technical information and handle high-pressure problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility engineers and technicians; oversee staffing and development.
• Oversee maintenance, work orders, and emergency repairs per MSA/SLA.
• Be primary on-site contact for client; manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Verify UPS, chillers, and generators installations are on schedule.
• Prepare RAMS; present risk plans to management and clients.
• Maintain data hall cleanliness and environmental controls.
• Escalate and resolve critical infrastructure incidents.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with standards.
• Model CBRE values and influence stakeholders for efficiency.
