Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager for Data Centers in Lexington, KY to lead day-to-day field operations on mission-critical projects. You will oversee mobilization through turnover, manage safety, quality, and schedule, and coordinate on-site teams and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years of heavy industrial construction experience (data center preferred), strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings and contracts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience, with data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 10+ years related construction experience.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, complex construction projects from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical construction environments and the importance of schedule, quality, and safety.
• Must possess basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for complex, mission-critical data center construction projects.
• Oversee construction activities from site mobilization through final turnover and commissioning.
• Take ownership of all aspects of the field activities from start up to completion, including safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
• Maintain and track overall project schedule with lookahead and provide real-time data to PM/Scheduler.
• Lead, train and mentor on-site team members and ensure adherence to Gray policies and procedures.
