Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Area Service Manager to oversee service operations in the rapidly expanding Data Center market, with accountability for start-up support, warranty execution, repairs, and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems and services.

You will lead field service coordination, drive technician recruitment and training, collaborate with sales on pricing, and ensure high customer satisfaction and operational excellence across Valley View, OH and other sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in HVAC or a related field.
• 3+ years experience managing and coaching large teams.
• Project management skills to oversee startups and customer requests.
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft applications.
• Salesforce experience considered an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean record in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• P&L responsibility, provide monthly revenue forecasting, and drive service growth with sales.
• Budget controls for overhead items and fleet.
• Manage risk in service agreements and projects.
• Oversee service coordination and training to balance technician skills.
• Develop employees’ customer service and technical skills.
• Ensure margin expectations are met during sales and fulfillment.
• Maximize cash flow by timely invoicing and cost control.
• Establish and follow standard service processes.
• Improve customer experience and satisfaction.
• Ensure EH&S compliance within the service team.
• Provide safety training for all employees.
