Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support our data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of quantity surveying, construction cost management, or commercial project experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project cost management software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project forecasts; monitor expenditures; analyze performance; track variances.
• Contract Administration: Review contracts, prepare change orders, and support negotiations.
• Measurement and Valuation: Perform quantity takeoffs and value completed work; verify invoices; prepare payments.
• Project Controls and Reporting: Develop cost reports; provide financial updates; assist with risk assessments and audits.
• Procurement Support: Prepare bid packages; evaluate bids; support procurement records.
• Risk Management: Identify risks; propose mitigation; assist in disputes.
