Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to support our data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. The role manages all commercial and contractual aspects to deliver projects within budget and maximize profitability.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to control costs, assess risks, and ensure compliance with contract requirements across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of quantity surveying, construction cost management, or commercial project experience.
• Knowledge of engineering, construction, infrastructure, industrial, or manufacturing projects.
• Experience reviewing contracts, change orders, and project financials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project cost management software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
• Analyze project performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Track and report cost variances throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, interpret, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase agreements.
• Prepare and manage change orders, claims, and contract variations.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met by all project stakeholders.
