Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support a data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. The role covers cost management, contract administration, measurement and valuation, project controls, and procurement support, ensuring budgets and contractual obligations are met.

You'll work with project teams, clients, and suppliers to optimize cost performance, manage risk, and support successful project delivery, with a hybrid working policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• 5+ years of quantity surveying or related experience.
• Knowledge of engineering, construction, infrastructure, industrial or manufacturing projects.
• Experience reviewing contracts, change orders, and project financials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project cost management software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost Management: prepare estimates, budgets, forecasts and monitor expenditures.
• Contract Administration: review contracts, change orders, claims, and variations; support negotiations.
• Measurement and Valuation: takeoffs, value completed work, validate invoices, prepare payment applications.
• Project Controls and Reporting: develop cost reports, provide financial updates, assist risk assessments.
• Procurement Support: prepare bid documents, evaluate bids, maintain procurement records.
• Risk Management: identify risks and mitigation strategies; assist in dispute resolution.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field
