Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and monitor quality processes on projects, starting with a Data Center near the Alexandria, LA area. You will report project progress to the Region's Senior Quality Manager and drive adherence to contract quality requirements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field and 6+ years of quality control and quality assurance experience over a wide range of project sizes and types.
Formal QA/QC training and certification preferred.
Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification preferred.
Formal building envelope commissioning training preferred.
Understanding and utilization of industry standards: NIBS Guideline 3-2013 Building Enclosure Commissioning Process; ASTM E2813-12; ASHRAE Guideline 0-2013.
Demonstrated understanding of construction codes, compliance, standards, and controls.
Root causes analysis experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Ability to travel to project sites.
Willingness to work in various (sometimes extreme) climate conditions.
Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
Experience in a complex business as an active participant in driving growth and change; demonstrated effectiveness in driving operations and executing plans.
Experience cultivating an active network of relationships, driving collaboration and alignment, relating well to colleagues, and connecting with employees at all levels.
Ability to drive to the core of complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback.
Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) to communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
Monitor and manage Quality related activities to contract quality requirements for multiple projects.
Interact with client/owner, agencies, subcontractors, and internal staff on quality related matters including inspections, plan and program execution.
Educate the owner and project team about quality requirements and monitoring during the project.
Provide coaching and consultation on quality-related items.
Review project plans and specifications for quality requirements.
Verify all inspections and observations comply with contract documents.
Review inspection, compliance testing and remediation.
Participate in root cause analysis for complex issues.
Ensure corrective measures are implemented for noncompliance.
Oversee development and implementation of project quality plans.
Participate in Three Phase process for High-Risk Definable Features of Work.
Ensure quality initiatives are implemented at project level.
Ensure quality inspections and testing are documented and properly resourced.
Perform periodic assessments and report deviations and issues.
