Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our operations team, driving delivery of network infrastructure and cabling projects at a site. You will help establish schedules, manage costs, and engage with clients to meet goals.

The role requires development, leadership, and strong communication across teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will work closely with PMs to coordinate resources and supervise on-site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management, or similar.
• 1–3+ years of direct experience in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling.
• Track record of delivering mission-critical programs on time and within budget.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Contract negotiation and administration experience is a plus.
• Experience building and leading teams.
• Experience mentoring direct reports and vendor teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills across disciplines.
• Client engagement experience in similar programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with program management fundamentals (EV, SPI, CPI).
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• BICSI RCDD or similar telecommunications certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop program schedule and milestones to meet targets.
• Estimate costs and assist design with value engineering.
• Plan and budget project timelines and resources.
• Coordinate labor requirements and dispatch workers.
• Oversee purchasing and bill of materials.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with stakeholders.
• Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
• Direct and supervise team on site and in office.
• Maintain project schedule and financial plan.
• Provide weekly/monthly reports and projections.
• Ensure safety and quality programs are followed.
