Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead network infrastructure and cabling projects at a site. You will plan, direct, coordinate, and budget project activities, ensuring timely execution and compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will develop schedules, manage resources, and engage with clients to meet goals. The role requires deep experience in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling and strong leadership to guide teams on complex programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field required.
• 10+ years in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling.
• Proven track record delivering mission-critical programs on time and within budget.
• Must meet Motor Vehicle Record requirements.
• Contract negotiation and administration experience.
• Experience building and leading teams.
• Experience coaching direct reports and vendor teams.
• Strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills.
• Client engagement experience in similar programs.
• Understanding of earned value management, SPI, CPI, and project-tracking metrics.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• BICSI RCDD or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of network infrastructure and cabling projects.
• Develop program schedules, milestones, and budgets with the site team.
• Identify and allocate resources to meet changing requirements.
• Evaluate materials for constructability and prepare cost estimates.
• Coordinate design efforts and value engineering processes.
• Plan and track project steps and deadlines.
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to sites.
• Coordinate travel for technicians to project sites.
• Ensure code compliance through inspections and reviews.
• Explain plans and contract terms to staff and clients.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with designers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
• Direct and supervise office and field personnel.
• Study job specs to determine construction methods.
• Select and oversee material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Develop quality control programs and handle delays or emergencies.
• Communicate status and risks to stakeholders and address concerns.
• Be on site for active project management.
