Job summary

E2 Optics in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a seasoned field supervisor/project manager to lead data center construction teams. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee installation work, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across complex projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, estimators, and clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction (structured cabling or data center experience preferred)
• Strong leadership and supervision skills
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficient in project planning and coordination with PMs and field staff

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field staff and subcontractors on data center construction sites
• Coordinate planning with Project Managers and Lead Technicians to ensure schedules and budgets are met
• Maintain quality control by verifying site work aligns with the E2 Optics Quality Management Plan and client specs
• Drive safety, training, and continuous improvement initiatives on site
• Manage documentation, reporting, and communications with clients and internal teams
