Job summary

E2 Optics seeks a hands-on Project Superintendent to lead installation teams on critical data center projects. You will oversee planning, safety, scheduling, and coordination with clients and engineers to deliver on-time, within budget, and to specification.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of supervision in structured cabling or data center environments, along with OSHA 30, BICSI credentials, and a proven ability to mentor technicians while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's preferred.
• OSHA 30 within 2 weeks.
• BICSI Installer 2 Copper preferred.
• BICSI Installer 2 Fiber preferred.
• BICSI Certified Technician within 12 months.
• 3–6 years in Structured Cabling/related construction.
• Experience in large data center infrastructure with tech, quality, safety.
• 3+ years supervision or training experience.
• Obtain manufacturer certifications (company-approved).
• Obtain BICSI RTPM.
• Ability to supervise and train teams.
• Knowledge of PMBOK guides and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of installation.
• Plan, organize and direct personnel, resources and materials.
• Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications and cut sheets.
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting as required.
• Track, trend, and drive problem-solving for recurring issues.
• Mentor technicians to improve performance.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer on compliant equipment and materials.
• Lead by example with safety and professionalism.
