Job summary

E2 Optics in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced Project Manager for data center cabling design and field engineering. You will lead project teams, manage schedules, budgets, and ensure safety and quality on client sites.

The role requires 3–5 years in structure cabling design, RCDD, and PM certification. Travel up to 5% and a proactive, detail-oriented approach are essential. E2 Optics offers growth opportunities and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in structure cabling design work.
• RCDD (BICSI: Registered Communications Distribution Design)
• Applicable Project Management Certification
• Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaborative skills
• Attention to detail with organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to travel up to 5% as required

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and client site safety rules.
• Develops and enhances data center training, SOPs and work instructions.
• Provides field and project engineering, QA, contract admin, submittals, scheduling, RFIs and related functions.
• Manages change orders: administration, pricing, submission, tracking.
• Coordinates drawings, submissions, specifications, changes and document control.
• Manages contracts: scope, inquiries, progress, closeout.
• Coordinate with project and field teams for cabling installations.
• Oversee inventory control of test equipment and label printing gear.
• Drive process improvements to increase profitability.
