Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Project Launch Manager to coordinate the transition from lease execution to construction mobilization for a hyperscale data center client. You will lead preconstruction, project handover, and stakeholder alignment across multiple sites.

The role requires strong open-item tracking, cross-functional coordination, and precise reporting to the client and internal teams. Travel is 6-10 days monthly; onsite work three days weekly in Phoenix.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center delivery, preconstruction, development, or related complex facilities.
• Onsite availability in Phoenix, AZ (3 days/week) and willingness to travel 6–10 days per month.
• Experience coordinating transition from lease execution to construction mobilization.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across multi-site programs.

Responsibilities

• Deal intake and handover check: absorb and package signed deals, verify client requirements, and close gaps with owners and dates.
• Project launch: co-lead project launch meetings on site with the client project lead and assign actions.
• Baseline coordination: coordinate schedule and cost reviews and carry findings into the site baseline.
• Open item management: drive closure of open items from due diligence within the launch window.
• Preconstruction coordination: lead weekly project calls, design coordination, and developer interface to mobilization.
• Reporting and tracking: maintain the action log and provide milestone updates in a standard format.
• Stakeholder management: interface with developer, client project lead, and internal specialists; track progress.
• Handover to delivery: transfer site to onsite team at mobilization with baseline, risks, and open items.
• Continuous improvement: contribute to handover checks, launch formats, and reporting standards.
