Job summary

The Ross Group Construction Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer, Owner’s Representative (Procurement) for a hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This entry-level to early-career position focuses on coordinating owner-furnished equipment, procurement, and project documentation.

You will track orders, coordinate with vendors, align delivery with milestones, and support RFIs, submittals, schedules, and budget.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career project engineer seeking growth in mission-critical construction.
• Internship or work experience on commercial/industrial/data center projects preferred.
• Able to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with focus on tracking schedules and deliveries.
• Willing to learn Procore, Primavera P6, and Smartsheet.
• Hold or obtain OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction certification.
• Proven dependability in meeting attendance guidelines and follow-through.
• Ability to manage changing priorities to meet project goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all stakeholders.
• Willing to relocate to Cedar Rapids, IA area and legal to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Track and coordinate orders for owner-furnished equipment such as servers and electrical gear.
• Coordinate with vendors on specifications, lead times, and shipping details.
• Align equipment delivery schedules with construction milestones to avoid delays.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, schedules and project documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement, delivery timelines, and installation progress.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Support budget tracking, change orders, and procurement planning.
• Coordinate subcontractor logistics and site coordination.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
