Job summary

Ross Group in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks an entry-level Project Engineer, Owner’s Representative (Procurement), to support data center construction. You will track owner-furnished equipment, coordinate procurement and delivery of servers, cooling, electrical gear, and generators with construction milestones, and assist with RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project docs.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years in construction or procurement with a related bachelor’s degree, strong organization, and comfort

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 0–3 years’ experience in construction, project engineering, procurement, or logistics.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Comfort with Excel and project-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Track and coordinate orders for owner-furnished equipment (servers, cooling, electrical gear, generators).
• Coordinate with vendors on specifications, lead times, and shipping details.
• Align delivery schedules with construction milestones to prevent delays.
• Coordinate with contractors to receive, store, and install owner-furnished equipment on time.
• Support RFI responses, submittal reviews, and schedule updates.
