Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to lead cross-functional coordination on construction of AWS data centers in Ohio.

You’ll manage RFIs, change orders, and documentation, while coordinating vendor onboarding and material deliveries on site. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and frequent collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years in a data center or other critical environment.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring seamless information flow for construction protocols, documentation access, and standardized procedures.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders, creating detailed dashboards with priority levels and deadlines for regional leadership review.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk assessment.
• Managing vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintaining current project management software with critical milestone updates, correspondence records, and document control.
• Coordinating and monitoring owner-furnished material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at construction sites.
• Establishing and managing a centralized repository for contractor‑supplied construction data.
• Overseeing quality assurance programs through implementation of various checklists, including substantial completion verification, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
