Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join our onsite Construction Management team and support the fast, high‑quality delivery of our data center construction projects.

You will coordinate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements, while owning RFIs, change orders, and document control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of data center or critical environment operations experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional communication between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring seamless information flow.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership reviews.
• Evaluate Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk assessment.
• Manage vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintain current project management software with milestone updates and documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor owner‑furnished material deliveries to sites.
