Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for our data center in San Marcos, TX. The Project Engineer will assist with planning, buyout, management and closeout, reporting to the Project Manager and supporting the project team to monitor status and budget.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of project engineering experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry-related college degree required.
• Data center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain and post construction documents and drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist in inspections, audits and non-conformance logs.
• Monitor material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain and distribute project logs (buyouts, submittals, RFIs).
• Understand scopes of work for subcontracts or purchase orders.
• Track change requests and draft change orders within delegated authority.
• Support project schedule management and meeting minutes.
