Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago is seeking a Manager, Data Center Development to oversee US-based data center projects from early to late stages. The role is based in the Chicago office with a hybrid schedule (in-office Mon–Thu, remote Fridays when feasible).

The candidate will lead development activities, align projects with strategy, identify market prospects, secure site control, obtain permits, and coordinate with landowners and stakeholders while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• BS/BA from accredited college program.
• 6+ years in renewable energy or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Travel up to 25%.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of data center projects in the United States.
• Lead development activities across early, mid, and late stages.
• Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives.
• Identify development prospects, market assessments and site reconnaissance.
• Secure site control including leases and landowner agreements.
• Coordinate landowner communication efforts.
• Lead in obtaining local, state and federal permits.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, officials and stakeholders.
• Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.
• Oversee project design and feasibility.
• Assist project budgeting and scheduling.
• Manage tasks per budgets and schedules with internal/external support.
