Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, is seeking a Manager of Development to oversee data center project development across the United States from its Chicago office. You will lead multi-stage development efforts, coordinate with landowners, regulators, and customers, and ensure alignment with long-term corporate goals and strategies.

The role requires substantial experience in renewable energy project development, the ability to manage budgets and schedules, and travel about 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• BS/BA from an accredited college program.
• 6+ years’ work experience in renewable energy or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel ~25% of the time.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of data center projects in the United States.
• Lead development activities in early, mid, and late stages of the project.
• Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives.
• Identify development prospects, including market assessments and site reconnaissance.
• Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners.
• Coordinate landowner communication efforts.
• Lead efforts to obtain local, state and federal permits.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, officials and other stakeholders.
• Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.
• Oversee project design.
• Assist project budgeting and scheduling.
• Manage tasks according to budgets and schedules, including coordinating internal and external technical support.
