Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Manager, Data Center Development to lead US data center projects from our Chicago office. The role combines development leadership with cross‑functional coordination and stakeholder engagement.

The position requires a BS/BA, 6+ years in renewable energy, and a willingness to travel ~25%. Hybrid work is available, with a base pay range of $140,000–$165,000 plus a 25%–40% bonus.

Qualifications

• BS/BA from an accredited college program.
• 6+ years in renewable/clean energy or relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and travel up to 25%.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's in Business or Engineering, MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of data center projects across the United States.
• Lead development activities in early, mid, and late stages.
• Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives.
• Identify development prospects and conduct market assessments.
• Secure site control including leases and land agreements with landowners.
• Coordinate landowner communications.
• Lead permits at local, state, and federal levels.
• Represent Invenergy with customers, landowners, and officials.
• Initiate and manage interconnection activities.
• Oversee project design and budgeting/scheduling.
• Coordinate internal and external technical support.
