Job summary

Invenergy in Chicago is seeking an Associate, Development to lead the development of data center projects across the United States. The role requires coordinating with legal, engineering, environmental, interconnection, and construction teams, and managing budgets and schedules while engaging with landowners and officials.

The position is based in Invenergy’s Chicago office with a hybrid schedule (in-office Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays when feasible).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of energy-industry experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of data center projects in the United States.
• Identify development prospects and secure site control, including leases and easements.
• Initiate and manage interconnection activities and engage with stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal and external support from legal, engineering, environmental, interconnection, and construction teams.
• Manage complicated budgets and schedules, including risk identification and problem-solving.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders.
