Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction across North America, with up to 50% travel. The role focuses on coordinating design, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams to meet timelines and budgets.

You will lead constructability reviews, support modularization studies, and help plan risk mitigation while maintaining client expectations across multiple locations. A hybrid work environment is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience managing construction projects in industrial/commercial facilities.
• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Field construction experience on active projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning, bid packages, scheduling, estimating and VDC modeling.
• Collaborate with design, procurement and construction teams to develop plans.
• Lead planning efforts to ensure timely information flow and risk mitigation.
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies with teams.
• Prepare risk registers and coordinate stakeholder relationships.
