Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge engineering design and construction across industrial and commercial facilities. You will work with design, procurement and construction teams to develop plans and mitigate risks to schedule, budget, safety and quality.

The role requires travel up to 50% and a hybrid in-person/remote work setup. The successful candidate will ensure projects are thoroughly planned and coordinated from early design through transition into

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years managing construction projects in industrial/commercial facilities.
• Experience with 3D Modelling software.
• Field construction experience on active projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as project needs vary.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning with bid package development and scheduling.
• Collaborate with design, procurement and construction teams to optimize plans.
• Drive client interface and manage expectations.
• Lead planning efforts to ensure timely information flow.
• Conduct constructability reviews across design phases.
• Assist with modularization reviews and off-site manufacturing studies.
• Develop risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate safety, quality and project services groups for preconstruction.
• Prepare site logistics plans covering utilities and offsite needs.
