Job summary
Amazon in Herndon, VA is seeking a seasoned Lead of Pre-construction to drive budgeting, campus planning, and execution of data center builds. You will lead a team of builders, partner with Real Estate, Design and PM, and push constructability improvements across projects to meet capacity delivery timelines.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant management experience in datacenter operations or similar
- Bachelor's degree or above in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
- Experience in design, commissioning and construction of data center delivery and mission critical facilities
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to develop project budgets and campus plans in partnership with Real Estate, Design and PM
- Drive constructability improvements and ensure schedules align with capacity delivery needs
- Contract supply partners and manage procurement to enable long-term growth
- Develop budget accuracy mechanisms, cost avoidance, and value engineering practices
- Influence customers and suppliers at multiple levels and drive measurable results
