Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to support program execution across multiple campuses from planning through design, providing schedule forecasting, budgeting, and constructability guidance.

You will collaborate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, and Due Diligence teams, review bids, define construction scopes, and issue procurement documents while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction or project management experience.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Possess foundational knowledge of critical data center equipment.
• Perform constructability reviews to drive baseline improvements.
• Evaluate civil, structural, electrical phasing for potential sites.
• Define site requirements that affect schedule, cost, and delivery.
• Negotiate with land sellers, developers and general contractors; evaluate bids.
• Manage GC and third-party vendors during the design phase.
• Draft contracting documents and review bid summaries and milestones.
• Develop handoff project documentation for CM partners.
• Share lessons learned to improve program delivery.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
