Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an energetic Plumbing Designer to join our Mechanical/Plumbing Data Center team. You will design plumbing and utility packages for data center clients and prepare construction documents for DWV, potable water, and related systems.

You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, manage schedules, ensure code compliance, and deliver high-quality design packages. Prior experience with data center projects and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems for industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to CAD standards for plumbing design packages within an A&E firm.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of plumbing systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of Plumbing systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Isometrics, Riser Diagrams, details, fixture schedules, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for domestic water (cold and hot), sanitary waste and vent, etc.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
