Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an energetic Plumbing Designer to focus on the fast-moving Data Center market. You’ll design plumbing/utility design packages for data center clients and prepare construction package drawings for DWV, potable water, process drains, storm drains, and domestic water systems.

You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and develop the plumbing design basis while aligning with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems for industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to applicable CAD standards for plumbing design packages within an A&E firm.
• Trade School or Associates Degree.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of plumbing systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of Plumbing systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Isometrics, Riser Diagrams, details, fixture schedules, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for domestic water, sanitary waste and vent systems.
• Coordination with other disciplines and development of a plumbing design package.
• Establishing a plumbing design basis and ensuring technical quality and timely delivery.
