Job summary

Csquare is seeking an Operations Technician 2 to provide 24x7 data center support, including installations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and documentation. You will work directly with colocation customers to isolate and troubleshoot issues as necessary, and you will install and test copper and fiber cross connects throughout the data center.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operational and technical IT experience.
• Experience with copper and fiber installation and testing.
• Familiarity with OSI model and TCP/IP protocols.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues for colocation customers.
• Install and test copper and fiber cross connects and cables.
• Perform Layer 1 testing and cabling termination.
• Document work in ticketing system.
• Manage backups and offsite transfers.
• Monitor critical systems with Building Monitoring System.
• Follow global policies and escalate events.
• Perform rack installations, cabling, labeling.
• Work with ladders and hand tools.
• Shift may include nights/weekends; on-call sometimes.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Assist with physical security and shipping/receiving duties.
