Job summary

Csquare is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to install and troubleshoot copper and fiber cross connects in our data center. You will run cabling bundles, terminate with LC/SC/RJ45, and perform Layer 1 tests while documenting work in the ticketing system.

You will also support backups, monitor critical systems, and assist with racking and labeling of cables. The role requires safety with ladders and tools, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• IT certification desired.
• Experience with copper, fiber (multi & single mode) and coaxial cabling.
• Windows OS navigation and basic system knowledge.
• Background check may be required for customer support.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot copper and fiber cross connects and run bundles of cables throughout a data center.
• Terminate and test cabling with LC/SC and RJ45 connectors; perform Layer 1 testing.
• Document all work in the ticket system for customer requests and installation tasks.
• Manage incoming/outgoing tape backups/rotations and offsite transfers.
• Monitor critical systems using Building Monitoring System and support Facilities Team.
• Perform installation/de-installation projects including racking, dressing, and labeling cabling.
• Interact with ladders and hand tools as required; lift up to 50 pounds.
