Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Specialist, Data Center Operations to oversee daily operation, inspection and maintenance of critical facility systems including power, cooling and security. You will monitor alarms, manage tickets, and document maintenance activities.

The role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires hands-on experience with UPS, HVAC, generators and data center infrastructure, plus strong communication with onsite teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3 years of data center experience and maintenance of critical facilities.
• Experience with critical infrastructure components (UPS, HVAC, generators, PDUs, RPPs).
• Strong written and verbal communications, coordinating with local/regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance of critical data center equipment (UPS, HVAC, generators, security).
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware or software in the data center.
• Monitor data center performance (power, temperature, environment) and document findings.
• Keep technical documentation up-to-date (manuals, cabling diagrams, maintenance records).
• Monitor ticket queues and respond to tickets within SLA times.
• Perform Data Center Shift Technician tasks, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Communicate status updates to team, vendors, and end customers to close Work Orders.
• Supervise vendors/contractors ensuring compliance and security standards.
• Continuously evaluate data center for efficiency improvements.
