Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Specialist, Data Center Operations for our Detroit on-site facility. The role focuses on daily operation, inspection and maintenance of critical facility systems, ensuring uptime and reliability of power, cooling, and security infrastructure.

You will monitor equipment, respond to alarms, maintain documentation, and coordinate with vendors. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3 years of data center experience in operations and maintenance of critical facilities.
• Experience with MV switchboards, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, RPPs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to coordinate with local and regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance of critical data center equipment: UPS, HVAC, backup generators, and security systems.
• Identify and resolve hardware/software issues affecting data center performance.
• Monitor power, temperature, and other critical metrics; maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Manage ticket queues and ensure responses meet SLA targets.
• Supervise vendors and contractors; ensure security and compliance in the data center.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
